10 Hit Combo (雷神十連撃 Raijin Juurengeki?, "Thunder God Ten Combo Attack"[1]) is a strike arte in the Tales series, thus far exclusive to Lilith Aileron from Tales of Destiny.

Arte Description and History[]

When this arte is activated, the user pushes forward with a series of punches and kicks, if unarmed or using a ladle as a weapon, or sweeping slash movements, if using a quarterstaff or rod. With each attack, the target is pushed backward and held within a combo that lasts for ten hits, with the final strike pushing the enemy into the air.

This arte is part of Lilith's original moveset as the exhibition battle opponent in the PlayStation version of Tales of Phantasia. This arte is present in a playable form in Tales of Destiny, accessible only through glitch or cheat methods, allowing dummied data for Lilith to be playable. Lilith maintains this arte in most of her appearances prior to the remake of Tales of Destiny, which completely replaces her movelist and fighting style, serving as the basis for all subsequent appearances.

This attack is actually a reference to the character Heihachi Mishima of the Tekken franchise, who can perform a string of ten hits using various punch and kick inputs. Lilith's original fighting style is largely based on that used by Heihachi, sharing both this arte and Thunder Punch with him.

In Tales of the Rays, three consecutive uses of Lilith's Raijinken will alter that arte into Raijin Juurengeki.
