Aselia:Community Portal

From Aselia, the Tales wiki

This page is currently being redesigned. A request for suggestions can be found at Aselia talk:Community Portal#Redesign suggestions.

Community Portal

Welcome to the Community Portal. This page is the central place to find out what's happening on Aselia. Learn what tasks need to be done and get or post news about recent events or current activities.

Projects

Community Portal redesign

All users are asked to give their input on what should be included in the community portal. User:Imaginationac plans to do the brunt of the work, but all and every amount of input is appreciated.

New logo

Thanks to User:Drache for the new logo!

Free images

I decided to not delete non-free images unless the wiki gets an explicit notice from any intellectual property owner. Still, editors are encouraged to apply the correct licensing information on image pages.

Mailing list

At the moment, aside from myself there is only one non-staff member on the mailing list. I ask that all active editors join both aselia-l and wikia-l. Still would appreciate if users would join, and use the mailing list.

Requests

I have sub-page for requests. These can range from complicated tasks like table and template creation, intervening in an edit war, changing the interface (skins), granting sysop permissions, or coordinating projects. Ask me first, and if I can't help you, I'll talk to staff on your behalf.

Help pages

Sadly there aren't enough help pages. If you think of a topic, feel free to create it. The syntax for help page titles is Help:PAGENAME.

How to Help

  1. Create a wanted article. Please check to see if it does not exist under another name first.
  2. Cleanup an existing article. Fix typos, grammar, syntax, and odd spacing.
  3. Fix broken links.
  4. Find sources for information and cite appropriately.
  5. Remove vandalism, non neutral-point-of-view (NPOV) statements.
  6. Please register. It's free, and allows you to edit all Wikia wikis. It also helps communication.
  7. Feel free to create and edit your user page. Try to keep information relevant to the wiki and topics thereof.
  8. Use the forum to coordinate efforts and to ask for help if you are not comfortable asking someone directly.

Notices

These are important notices from Aselia admin. Please read them all and keep them in mind when editing the wiki.

Translations in violation of copyright policy

I have checked Wikia's copyright policies and FULL translations are in violation of copyright. Therefore, all articles that are full translations will be deleted. Please do not restore the articles or translations in anyway. Full translations, for that matter translations, do not serve the purpose in or as encyclopedic content, unless used in addendum to an existing article to explain topic of that article. --Imaginationac 04:13, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

Suggestions

I have a suggestion. I know that this Wiki doesn't want to show strategy or walkthroughs, so you we don't want to show strategies on how to fight monster, but I was thinking we should at least show all the monsters, there names, what game or games there in, and anything else that wouldn't turn it into a walkthrough. Any thing like Stats and mabye where it's found shouldn't be added.--Dragon3025 03:28, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Absolutely. We need to set up more monster lists here, for every game. If you want to start one, please try to follow the revised format on the ToS - Monster Book page. (I know it looks messy because some of the sections aren't properly reformatted yet - I'm in the process of cleaning it up. Just follow the way it's set up in the first two sections.)
I do intend to have stats and locations listed, if possible. It helps the list be more useful as a resource, with as much complete info as possible.

I tried, but I goofed up and never created the page. I'm not good enough to make chart like that, (even with the Monster List from ToS to start with). I was thinking of seperate pages for each monster, but a monster chart would be better, but there's now way I can make it.--Dragon3025 02:40, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
