Blazing Hearts (ブレイジングハーツ, Bureijinguhaatsu^?) is an advanced Fire-elemental spell in the Tales series.

Arte Description and History

When cast, the spell causes two bullets of fiery energy to appear and join together beneath the enemy, creating a glyph of fire in the form of a cross.

This spell was first introduced in Tales of Rebirth, as one of the several Fusionic Force Sorcery spells used by Mao that fuse together spells of multiple elements, in this case merging the Wind and Fire elements. Blazing Hearts is one of the few storyline-based attacks in the game, which in this case is obtained after meeting with the Sacred Beast Fenia, during which Mao also learns the true nature of his existance. The spell has since appeared as a staple aspect of Mao's abilities in each of his later appearances in crossover games.

Blazing Hearts reappears in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World as part of Richter Abend's movelist during his final battle against the party. The spell is available to the party through the Fenia monster, which, combined with the spell itself, is a cameo reference to the Sacred Beast Fenia and Mao.
