Enemy arte lists[]

Just finished updating all the pages in this category with our new format, albeit with some help from Lanate. It got me thinking, how come we don't have arte list pages for enemies? For characters like the God-Generals, the lists could be fairly extensive. Personally, I find certain enemy characters equally as significant as playable characters.

The original reason, way back when, is that there is honestly so little information. There's little data compared to what we're used to for our arte pages (damage ratios, hits, costs), combined with the lack of sources at the time, meant it was so far on the backburner. Most Japanese wikis only list boss artes; few even drift towards generics. I've gone through so many videos and done my own research just to synthesize the two lists I do have, and the unlocalized section is woefully lacking.
So, yeah, the main reason is no interest and lack of information, especially on anything pre-Vesperia. Lanate (talk) 05:43, January 31, 2015 (UTC)

Well, I was definitely implying only bosses. Could it be a possibility for well-established characters who serve as bosses in their respective games and have healthy move lists?

Possibly? An "Enemy Artes" page? Lanate (talk) 06:43, January 31, 2015 (UTC)

No, like for example, a page for each of the God-Generals and other major bosses that have decent move lists. I've seen lists shorter than what would be compiled on these pages. A page for all enemies would be too long, especially considering bosses.

I guess never mind. Now that I think about it, it was a silly thought. To be honest, I've never even looked at your arte pages, but I see that you have compiled lists of enemy artes already. Shows you how interested I am in that sort of thing, lol. Based on what you have, dividing it by game wouldn't be so bad, although I still feel as if certain human enemies have enough of a move list to warrant their own page for the list. Then again, I don't consider the things you mentioned, like damage ratios, hits, costs, etc. In other words, I was thinking through my keyboard. Don't worry about it.

No, it's still an interesting thought. Most of the jp wikis have a page or two dedicated to boss artes also It's a bit of an undertaking, but not a bad idea in the end. Requirements can also include stuff like "this is only used in the 2nd fight" or "only on Hard mode or above" kind of thing. Lanate (talk) 07:15, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
