Dhaos Laser (ダオスレイザー / ダオスレーザー Daosureizaa / Daosureezaa?) is one of several signature artes of Dhaos from Tales of Phantasia.
Arte Description and History
When Dhaos uses this arte, he thrusts his palms forward, shooting a large and piercing laser of energy in a direct line, dealing heavy damage. Dhaos uses this arte in every game in which he has appeared, and he has obtained two mystic artes similar to this attack in his most recent appearances. These include Super Dhaos Laser in Tales of Vesperia and Shin Dhaos Laser in Tales of VS.
In Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon, Dhaos Laser is considered to be "Dhaos"-elemental, which is effective against all enemies apart from Dhaos himself and Dio in the "Dhaos" costume. There is also a secondary and more powerful version of this attack known as Dhaos Beam, which appears similar to Dhaos Laser, with approximately twice its size.
As one of Dhaos's signature artes, characters who draw their moveset from him have their own variations. Sekundes uses Sekundes Laser (ゼクンドゥスレーザー Sekundusureezaa?), and Chronos uses both Chronos Beam (クロノスレーザー Kuronosureezaa?, "Khronos Laser") and Chronos Laser (クロノスレーザーⅡ Kuronosureezaa II?, "Khronos Laser II"). Yggdrasill's Yggdrasill Laser is also similar, especially when considered alongside his Outburst arte.
