Dispel

Dispel (ディスペル Disuperu?) is a traditional healing spell that removes Magical Ailments from allies. Although it is viewed upon as a healing spell for most games, it is considered a support spell in the original Tales of Destiny.

[edit] Arte Description and History
When the spell is activated, the targeted ally is surrounded with light, and is healed from the Magical Ailments. In the earlier games, it could heal specific status effects, but this has been changed.
In Tales of Symphonia, Raine is able to learn either Nullify or Anti-Magic after repeating usage of this spell, depending on which arte branch she is heading toward. In its sequel, this spell is Earth elemental, and will as such give influence to the Elemental Grid when used.
In Tales of Vesperia, the spell does not heal just one specific ally, but rather all allies within a small area of effect. This was changed back to only one ally in her appearance in Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2.
