Falcon's Crest

Falcon's Crest (天翔蒼破斬 Tenshou Souhazan?, "Imperial Soaring Blue Destructive Slash"[1]) is the signature Mystic Arte that is used by Lloyd Irving. This attack appears in every game he appears in, excluding Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, in which he uses an alternate Mystic Arte known as Divine Justice. Lloyd channels energy in his blades, before leaping up and fusing his swords into one large blade, which he smashes onto the opponent, causing immense damage. As a trivia, although Lloyd says the arte's name in the Japanese version, he instead shouts "Divine justice" in the localized version, even though the translation of "Tenshou Souhazan" has nothing to do with justice, and Lloyd himself says that he hates the word "justice."

[edit] Arte Description and History
In Tales of Symphonia, Falcon's Crest is Lloyd Irving's Mystic Arte. The ability cannot be used until the end of game, after he obtains the Material Blade from Kratos Aurion and Dirk. The arte looks like Lloyd holding the Eternal Sword in a glyph while he jumps into the air, after slamming the sword on all the enemies close around to him. In addtion, the strongest sidequest boss of the game, Abyssion, can use Falcon's Crest in the PlayStation 2 version. The animation is still similiar to Lloyd's, though it seems like he uses the Soul Eater sword instead.
Lloyd can use Falcon's Crest as his Mystic Arte in Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology. Its animation is similar to the Tales of Symphonia version, though its conditions are noticeably easier. Even after his new Mystic Arte in his original game's sequel, Lloyd continues using Falcon's Crest as his Mystic Arte in Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2 with the same description and conditions as in the first installment.
