Innocent Shine (TotA)

Innocent Shine as it appears in Tales of the Abyss.

Innocent Shine (イノセント・シャイン / イノセントシャイン Inosento Shain / Inosentoshain?) is a mystic arte used by Tear Grants in Tales of the Abyss.

Arte Description and History[]

Innocent Shine (ToCrestoria)

Innocent Shine as it appears in Tales of Crestoria.

Tear sends spirals of light from beneath her opponents into the sky. She then commands them to fall as a single wide-area ray of light that shines down, hitting her targets repeatedly for heavy damage. Nebilim can also use this mystic arte, but only in the North American version of the game. In the 3DS variant, Nebilim's variant lacks the interpunct between "Innocent" and "Shine", which would be used in Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology, Tales of VS.

The move is also the name of a set of daggers in Tales of Graces ƒ and a set of dual blades in Tales of Xillia 2, where they act as both a reference to this mystic arte and to Durandal from Tales of Innocence. Both times, however, their Japanese names lack the interpunct between "Innocent" and "Shine", and their localized names are changed.
