Witchcraft as it appears in Tales of the Abyss.
Witchcraft (ウィッチクラフト Wicchikurafuto?) is a support spell in the Tales series.
Arte Description and History[]
When activated in Tales of the Abyss, a large purple glyph appears on the ground near the targeted ally while they are cloaked in a glyph identical to the spell's predecessor, Enhance Cast. As the glyph's arrow spins, a number of smaller, accompanying glyphs in the form of clocks envelop the area-of-effect. Its visual effect is similar in Tales of Xillia 2, where the glyph summons an ethereal clock on the current target and several clocks scattered around the battlefield.
In Tales of the Abyss, this spell can only be activated by casting the Enhance Cast spell within a fully-charged Wind or Light FOF Circle. The spell decreases the spellcasting time by 20% for all allies within the area-of-effect and increases the spellcasting time by 20% for all enemies within the same area. It returns as a linked arte in Tales of Xillia 2 for Rowen J. Ilbert and Muzét with the same effect except expanded to cover all combatants. It can also be used by Chronos and fits in his repertoire due to his position as the Great Spirit of Time.
