Priority reminders[]

Because some people always want to focus on different things, I'll make a basic list of what needs to be done on this wiki. Please stick with the priorities in order unless you know what you're doing. This doesn't really apply to those of you who have your self-assigned roles that you have held for several months, and I'm not going to interfere with your efforts.

High Priority[]

Content Articles[]

Content articles are my shortcut term for pages devoted to specific characters, locations, and terms, and the games they come from. Note that this does not include arte pages. Many of these articles have so little information that they provide absolutely nothing of value as they are now, if the pages even exist at all. Some pages are filled with misinformation and incorrect facts, though I don't remember which pages fall under this category. I want all of this to change as soon as possible - these incomplete and erroneous pages provide a far more negative image for this wiki than anything else, and we can't keep pretending these pages don't exist, as the only wiki site for the series.

Examples include: Mary Argent, Ozette, Vaclav Bolud, Tartarus, Krityans

I will update this list of examples when they become passable articles, so the links can be rotated and we get some exposure to as many of these pages as possible. Also keep in mind that these are localized games that I am listing right now, but many content pages from Japan-only games are just as badly written. And remember: do not add a few token sentences that state the obvious, I've seen enough of that. Because other people do read these pages, and if all they can get out of them is that "Chelsea has a crush on Woodrow" and nothing else, then the page is a failure. (And I'm not kidding, this is seriously what one person said on another site rather recently.)

Mid Priority[]

List-based Articles[]

Obviously, these are the pages whose links appear on this page. Some of the pages could benefit from additional help, though they aren't as much of a strong priority anymore. These pages remain as my main priority and concern, even if they are less important than the content pages overall.

At this time, the most important things to deal with are the Graces alias lists, but this does require some decent ability to translate Japanese text, so I'm not worried about any lack of contributions. Then again, this attitude of mine led to zero additions on the Hearts arte lists during the full year after I stopped updating them, and those pages were in drastic need of attention throughout that entire time due to all of the unknowns ("?") in most entries.

If there is anything you think you can add, then go ahead and do so. If you think you could fill out any missing blanks for anything that might already be available on other sources, primarily the JP wiki sites, that would be lovely! As for the creation of new pages, I would hope the newer games receive the attention they deserve, but there is no problem as long as you fully intend to finish what you're working on. If you need help, feel free to ask me about anything from formatting and scripting, to translation accuracy. I, or someone else, will sweep through the pages and make any edits that we might think are necessary.

Individual Arte Pages[]

These are not that important to me, but I'm not going to bump them to "low priority" just because I don't like to deal with them. The pages that require the most focus are those which do not follow the currently established format found here. If you can't think of good descriptions, then just use the {{stub|section}} tag, since they aren't that big of a deal unless they have some sort of important history, and most of those classic artes pages are formatted correctly already. If you do see the section stub tag in place, then just move on to the next article, rather than spend the effort to write something there. Yes, I'm talking to you. =P

Just as a bit of a reference, Penamesolen is currently working on Legendia's arte pages, and Shinkirou is working on those from Radiant Mythology. My advice to anyone else is to work on any of the other games' artes, or deal with something else with a higher priority. Because with all honesty, I want more people to focus on content articles while leaving the arte pages alone, and I don't care if they make up most of the stubs on this wiki... which was entirely my fault to begin with when I started my major contributions here. If I had the powers and disposition that I have now back then, I would have banned myself for making hundreds of filler pages with nothing useful. But remember, these arte pages aren't the only articles that are nothing more than fillers, as I'm trying to emphasize by making this priority list in the first place...

Low Priority[]

Image Categorization and Summaries[]

I want to be able to sort all uploaded images on this wiki, so no images will remain uncategorized, or even listed within the root Images category. Each image should be sorted into an appropriate sub-category so we can find them more easily, rather than having all of them collected in a giant mess of miscellany, so we can determine which ones are duplicate files that should be deleted. If you have nothing else to do, and you want to be the slave who does the grunt work (instead of myself, for a change), then you can do this category sorting. And at the same time, you should also add basic information to the images that lack it, stating the content and its source, such as official artwork and its artist, or cut-in and status screen images accredited to Production I.G., etc., so we don't have to question possible copyright issues.

I would like to be able to rename all images in each set to follow a specific pattern at some point, but that is another project entirely, and I'm the only one with powers to rename or delete files.

Do Something Else Priority[]

Miscellaneous Pages[]

These include audio transcriptions (not including the arte quotes and incantations), skit compilations, music lyrics and tracklists, individual monster pages, and a good number of other things I can't think of. These are projects that may be looked into in the far future - years from now, at best. For now, there are other sites with this sort of info, and I don't want to divide our effort and attention even more. Do something else, so the existing content pages can benefit from your help.
