The Four Seraphim (四大天使 Yondaitenshi?, "Four Archangels") are the four leaders of Cruxis in Tales of Symphonia. They traveled together around 4,000 years ago and formed pacts with Summon Spirits. Through their efforts, the 1,000-year-old Kharlan War ended. Although the members of the quartet have vanished in history, their legacy lives on in different ways.

  • Mithos Yggdrasill - The leader and founder of Cruxis, as well as Mithos the Hero from the Kharlan War over 4,000 years ago. Upon his sister's death, he founded Cruxis and became its leader under his surname, "Yggdrasill".
  • Kratos Aurion - Mithos's human teacher, who joined him in his efforts to stop the war. After Martel's death, he was forced to join Cruxis. As the only human in the organization, he often goes against Mithos's goals and once betrayed him.
  • Yuan Ka-Fai - A half-elf former companion of Mithos, as well as Martel's fiance. He secretly formed an underground resistance group called the Renegades.
  • Martel Yggdrasill - Mithos's older sister, who was killed by a human during the war, but nonetheless, remains the fourth member. She is one of the primary motives for Mithos's actions throughout the story.
