Heal (ヒール Hiiru?) is a classic healing spell in the Tales series.
Arte Description and History
This spell is most commonly learned as the intermediate-level healing spell that a character obtains after mastering First Aid. Heal is used to heal a moderate amount of HP to one ally for an increased TP cost and incantation time. In Tales of Symphonia, Raine Sage will receive the spell if she is aligned with the "Strike" branch of artes. Its "Technical" counterpart, Nurse, is often seen as a more effective spell due to its ability to affect all party members, regardless of where they are during battle, but healing less to each ally than Heal is capable of achieving.
In Tales of the Abyss, Heal is used only by Natalia Luzu Kimlasca-Lanvaldear. Similar to the separation of styles in Tales of Symphonia, Natalia focuses on the more potent single-character healing, while Tear Grants obtains area-based healing options. Heal can be used within a fully charged Wind or Light FOF Circle to change it to Healing Wind. In Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, this spell is Water-elemental, thus influencing the Elemental Grid when used.
