Rising Phoenix (鳳凰天駆 Hououtenku?, "Phoenix Heaven Drive"[1]) is an arte that has appeared in many titles of the Tales series

[edit] Arte Description and History
When using this arte, the character jumps into the air, then thrusts down with a fiery, blazing wave. In Tales of Symphonia, it appears as an arte that only is triggered when Lloyd has an Fire-elemental enchant active while using Rising Falcon. This can be through the use of an Fire-based weapon or the accessory Garnet, the use of a Red Quartz during battle, or the activation of Sheena Fujibayashi's S. Seal: Fire. Before it can be used, Rising Falcon requires a total usage count of 200 or more. After this, Rising Phoanix will always replace Rising Falcon when an Fire-elemental enchant is in use. Despite these requirements, it becomes a standard arte in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.
In Tales of Vesperia' PlayStation 3 port, Flynn is able to use the arte as an altered arte, as well, with the skill "Guren" equipped while using Hitenshouku.
