The Katz homeland. The secret password is "Keep your moist little nose to yourself." Be sure to visit the legendary yet enigmatic Katz Pajamas.
Tales of Berseria

Katz Korner (ねこにんの村 Nekonin no Mura?, "Katz Village"), also known as Katz Village, is location similar to Katz' Village that appears in Tales of Graces, Tales of Zestiria, and Tales of Berseria.

Appearances in Original Titles[]

Tales of Graces[]

In Tales of Graces, Katz Korner is based on a small theme park and inhabited mainly by Katz, although an old man also lives there. To access the village, the group must talk to every cat in the world and feed them. Once done, talking to any cat will allow the group to teleport to Katz Korner and access its inn requests. Save files with completed storylines allow access to Katz Korner's "Museum" version, where the group can view all the animated cutscenes, skits, voice files, soundtrack files, and other similar content the player has seen.

Tales of Zestiria[]

In Tales of Zestiria, Katz Korner is a small round area with a river that flows through it. To access it, the player is required to save the cat in Ladylake and show the Katz there a proof of knowing a high-ranking seraph. The place has a stone ring where the Dark Turtlez is fought and an exclusive club, the Katz Pajamas. The player can view all animated cutscenes and skits, as well as rest at the inn and buy and fuse equipment at the shop. One of the Katz states that Maotelus visited the place a thousand years ago.

Tales of Berseria[]

Katz Korner is largely similar to its appearance from Tales of Zestiria, though it lacks foxtail, which one of the Katz considers to plant. To access it, the player is required to open 38 Katz Boxes, with the 38th containing an invitation to the Katz Korner that can be realized by talking to a secluded Katz in Taliesin. The origins of the Dark Turtlez are explored here, who is also fought in the stone ring. The player can view all animated cutscenes and skits, as well as rest at the inn and buy and fuse equipment at the shop. During this time, Laphicet, who later becomes Maotelus, visits the place.

Appearances in Crossover Titles[]

Tales of Crestoria[]

Known as Katz Village, this place bears similar appearance to its Tales of Zestiria and Tales of Berseria appearances and is located in "inner world". In the limited event, "Battle Katz! Klash of Pawz", the Katz living there were a peaceful bunch until recently when some started to learn martial arts from humans that they started to observe. This led to some of them forming a gang under the name of Katznip Kai (ドラねこ会?) and bullying other, gentle-mannered Katz. With the help of katzlective-possessed Elle Mel Marta's teachings and Tear Grants's advice, Misella manages to win in a tournament, allowing gentler Katz right to stay in the Village.

Trivia[]

  • The stone ring present in Tales of Zestiria and Tales of Berseria is a reference to Stonehenge. Both games contain numerous references to Great Britain and Arthurian mythology.
  • The Dark Turtlez battles fought in Katz Korner are based on Tales of Xillia 2: the Tales of Zestiria battle is based on Julius Will Kresnik's cutscene seen in a fractured dimension in which the group hunts the "Seafall Phantom" in Kijara Seafalls, while Tales of Berseria battle is based on Victor's cutscene seen in a fractured dimension in which the group hunts for the final waymarker in Elle's Home.
