Magic Knight

The Magic Knight (魔法剣士 Mahoukenshi?) is a recurring job class in the Tales series. The Magic Knight class is basically Tales of Symphonia's sword artes with Tales of Destiny 2's magic and some more common physical artes. The class is good in terms of stats and just to experience the feel of having the character be able to use different types of spells and artes.

[edit] Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology
According to the non-playable character Nanaly Fletch, there are a lot of Magic Knights in the Doplund region, but the style itself originates from Ailily. In order to get the invitation to become a Magic Knight, the player first needs to be a 20-leveled Swordsman, and then find the Trial Quest where he or she has to battle Kratos alone. By defeating Kratos, the player has to talk to him after finishing the quest to get the invitation. After that, 1000 Grades are needed to be allowed to become a Magic Knight.

Magic Knights reappears in the second installment of Radiant Mythology, and its artes are almost unchanged.

- Because of Nanaly Fletch's quote of the Magic Knight's style originating from Ailily in Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology, even if Kratos is the only playable Tales character who is a Magic Knight there, fans have speculated that he is the one who invented the style by adding the factor that he is four thousand years old in the game he originates from.
- Although Rutee Katrea from Tales of Destiny uses a sword and has magic spells like Stahn Aileron and Leon Magnus from the same game, she is confirmed as a Thief, not a Magic Knight.
