Magnadeus (マグナディウエス Magunadiuesu?) is a minor antagonist and optional boss in Tales of Destiny 2.
History
Magnadeus is sealed deep within the Aqua Labyrinth, which serves as the game's EX Dungeon, and the player must locate 15 stones scattered on the World Map in order to access the dungeon. There are 25 levels in the dungeon and occasional mini-bosses, usually Barbatos Goetia. Each boss, when defeated, drops a chest containing a powerful weapon. The 25th floor contains Magnadeus, who will then fight the group. Once he has been defeated, Karyl Sheeden will appear and speak to the group.
Fighting Style
Being one of the most formidable enemies in the game, Magnadeus must be fought without the opportunity to save prior. If the player loses to Magnadeus, he or she must repeat the dungeon in order to fight him again. In battle, Magnadeus is a devastating spellcaster with nearly every advanced-tier spell in the game at his disposal. He also possesses a vast amount of health, making the fight long and arduous. His Field of Effects are capable of inflicting the "Stop" status ailment, decreasing defense for all enemies within range, and healing all enemies. Magnadeus can also increase his own attack power and TP recovery rate through his Enchant Damage (エンチャント・ダメージ?) strike arte. Spell-wise, he is able to cast the most powerful extensions of each element, as well as perform the dreadful Last Vanisher, which can decimate all targets' HP to a minimum of 1.
