Meredy is a young girl from the world of Celestia. She owns a small pet who follows all the time that keeps saying "Kweeeekeeee!", hence, causing Reid to give it the name "Quickie". When Meredy and Quickie first appear in the game to Reid and Farah, a lot of problems seem to occur. For one, they couldn't understand a thing Meredy says for she seems to speak in a different language. Second, it's obvious she doesn't belong to their world, having crashed down to Inferia in some weird flying vehicle. Plus, she has strange skin color and has this weird rock on her forehead, making it obvious she's not Inferian. And third, Meredy seems to be unpredictable. At random times, she clings on to Reid and keeps saying something in her strange language. And occasionally, she even jumps onto furniture (tables, couches, etc.) and starts dancing this crazy little jiggle. It attracts attention to her, which isn't what Reid and Farah want.
Later on in the game, Reid and Farah, along with Keele, will eventually get a device that will allow them to communicate with Meredy. The reason why she came to Inferia turns out to be because she wants to save it from colliding with her world. Eventually, she will continue traveling with the group on their journey to save the two worlds.
Meredy's playful attitude is much like a cheerful little kid. Sometimes her grammar might be incorrect, but nevertheless, the way she talks sounds really 'cute-sy'. She adores her pet, Quickie, and can control him to attack during battles, making fighting a bit easier for Reid.
It is possible that Meredy and Keele have feelings for each other.
