•Tales of Destiny 2
Neuestadt (ノイシュタット Noishutatto?, "Noischat") is the capital of Fitzgald in Tales of Destiny, serving as home to the world-famous coliseum. In Tales of Destiny 2, which takes place 18 years after the events of Tales of Destiny, the city has changed little, the region having been scarcely affected by the events of the prequel.
Neuestadt's extravagance is the result of Oberon Corporation's investment in rapidly developing the city, with one of its branches being located in the capital. Ilene Rembrandt, the Oberon executive of the Fitzgald region, lives in the city and attempts to create an uplifting atmosphere for its residents, despite the apparent backlash. Neuestadt suffers from a large gap between the rich and the poor, and wealthy residents tend to look down upon those of the lower class. In Tales of Destiny, the protagonists visit the capital after hearing of monsters surrounding the city from its sea side.
Soon after arriving in the tourist city, they meet with Ilene, who fails to apprehend a conflict between Stahn Aileron and Bruiser Khang, the reigning champion of the local arena. The two settle their tempers in the arena only for the city to be attacked shortly afterward by a fleet operating under the command of Batista Diego. Bruiser assists the group in infiltrating the main ship of the fleet, defeating Batista and returning him to the city to remain hostaged. Leon Magnus later allows Batista to escape, having equipped him with a homing device that leads the group to Aquaveil. In Tales of Destiny 2, the capital has only changed slightly, and the gap between the upper and lower classes seems to have vanished. The coliseum is still active, though now the fierce competitor Lymle Aileron dominates the competition.
- The city's name derives from the German word Neustadt, meaning "new town" or "new city". This references Neuestadt's status as a relatively new and modern city, greatly contrasting the remainder of the Fitzgald region.
