Rem
From Aselia, the Tales wiki
Rem (レム Remu?, "Rem") is the Summon Spirit of Light, one of several spirits who represent Light. Rem has appeared in several games of the series through spell summons and cameo appearances. Rem is opposed by Shadow, the Summon Spirit of Darkness, and shares the element of light with Luna and Aska.

[edit] Appearances
Rem is the Summon Spirit of Light. She typically appears as a angelic woman.
[edit] Tales of Eternia
Rem represents one of the Greater Craymels and is the Governing Craymel of Inferia with dominion over Sylph, Undine, and Efreet. The Light Craymel governs the use of all light element spells. She first appears when the Primary Craymels of Inferia are gathered, stating that because humans caused the Grand Fall, humans can fix it themselves. Nonetheless, she gives them the Sorcerer's Ring and tells them to cross the Bridge of Light. She is found again in the Regulus Knoll, where she guards the place where Nereid was sealed and where they party goes to obtain Ribavius Ore. Once defeated, she enters the Craymel Cage.
Rem herself can be summoned through the arte "Rem", where she heals all of the party with a flash of light.
[edit] Tales of Destiny 2
Rem is a cameo appearance in the Hi Ougi arte Sol Bright (ソルブライト?). Rem draws a cross in the air before firing beams of light from her wings. She then raises her hand, light energy erupting around her.
[edit] Tales of Legendia
Rem first appears as a ball of light only Grune can see after the party defeats Solon and Dark Jay. Lamenting the loss of Grune's memory, she turns into seed form and rests in her urn. Grune plants her seed at the Cradle of Time's altar.
Rem is one of the Summon Spirits bequeathed onto the world. Rem is probably associated with the Sea element, which has holy connotations in context with the importance of the sea in the game, in the same way that light has in most other games.
[edit] Tales of the Abyss
Rem is the aggregate sentience of the Sixth Fonon, the Fonon of Light. Her name is used to represent the first day of the week, Remday, and the first month, Rem Decan. Based on the other months, the first month being named after Rem would normally mean that the twelfth would as well, but Luna takes up that spot with Luna Redecan. Despite this, only Rem is named the sole aggregate sentience of the Sixth Fonon.
The Tower of Rem is named after her. Rem is also the name of Auldrant's Sun.

[edit] Triva
Some fans believe that the Cruxis angel Remiel from Tales of Symphonia could be a possible reference to Rem. Both are considered cherubic beings that can use light-element spells, although Rem would be likened more towards a goddess than an angelic figure, due to her control over the primary elements of Inferia within Tales of Eternia.
