Shredding Palm

Shredding Palm (烈破乱掌, Repparanshou^?, "Raging Tear Staggering Palm") and Repparanshou (烈破爛掌^?, "Raging Tear Inflamed Palm") are altered artes of Raging Blast exclusive to Yuri Lowell from Tales of Vesperia and Luke fon Fabre in Tales of the Rays.

Arte Description and History

Upon activation, Yuri shoulder-tackles the target to close the distance. He then reaches forward, gathers explosive energy in his palm, and releases a string of explosions, knocking down anything close to him in a 180-degree angle forward. Yuri uses this arte instead when he uses Raging Blast with the Dispersion skill equipped. After 100 uses, Yuri can use the arte without needing the skill equipped.

In Tales of the Rays, this arte is Dark-elemental, and when used when standing still or moving, this alters to Reppa Gouranshou. Additionally in Tales of the Rays, Luke gains a Fire-elemental variant of this arte where the character with the reading ran was changed from "stagger" (乱^?) to "inflamed" (爛^?). When Luke's target is afflicted with Slow, Repparanshou alters into Reppakoushou.
