Plot

The story is set in the world of Luminasia, where large countries dominate smaller ones for the sake of harvesting Hostia, a form of crystallized mana produced by the World Tree. The story follows the player and the guild Ad Libitum as they investigate a red smoke, capable of altering the forms of living creatures, which people have mistaken for the wish-granting manifestation of the Descender.

Features

Battle System

Radiant Mythology 3 utilizes the Flex Range Linear Motion Battle System from Tales of the Abyss, using the free run system by using the PlayStation Portable's analog stick. The game introduces a new ability known as Radiant Drive, which allows the players to ignore the normal arte combo progression, similar to how Overlimit functioned in Tales of Vesperia. During Over Limit there is an ability which allows the player to use artes without consuming TP.

Leveling System

Unlike the previous two Radiant Mythology games, guild members who are not in the active battle party will continue to gain in experience and level at the same rate the Protagonist's group does. This enables the player to switch between characters and organize any possible battle party freely, without having to grind to increase the level of a character who would otherwise have fallen behind in strength and abilities. All characters not in use will not gain exp after reaching level 70

Job Class System

Like previous installments, this game includes the job class system that allows players to change job classes by talking to the Guild leader. To unlock high classes special conditions must be done and to change the characters job class players still need to use grade points to transform into them.
