Is this really never getting a US translation?

I looked at the History page, and the last editor (Zolo) said: "A sad day! So the game is not coming to US or Erupean shores" Which is weird, I saw an English screenshot in Game Informer! No way that was RM1? Will we Americans really never get this game?

To be honest, Zolo tends to make assumptions somewhat frequently based on what he sees on less-than-reliable places. There is still a "chance" that this game can be localized. No official word has been given, and you can consider how everyone considered the first Radiant Mythology to be a lost cause by the time its localization was announced, half a year later.
BUT, you must consider that the North American branch of Namco has a very low turnover rate when it comes to the Tales series, and we even had registered trademarks for the names of Tales of Rebirth and Tales of Innocence during these past few years, both of which had expired a long time ago, making them impossible to be localized now. RadiMai 2 has the best possible chance to be localized of any Tales game in recent history (even higher than Vesperia and DotNW, since those were special cases due to the "10th Anniversary" of the Tales series in North America, even ignoring the Destiny PS2 Director's Cut of all things!), and the reality of it is uncertain still. I don't feel like bothering to list more reasons for either possibility, since it really can go either way.
Basically, the best policy is to expect nothing, so you can be thoroughly surprised and overjoyed that you might be proven wrong. And even if nothing comes after all, then nothing is lost. It may be a jaded mentality, but I find that it works, since at least Tales games have a chance to be localized at all. The same can never be said about Sora no Kiseki, or the multitudes of visual novels that even I have played with my limited Nipponese skills.
tl;dr - I lost hope for RadiMai 2 a long time ago, and Zolo was merely late to the party. What else can I say.

So it does have a chance, as little as it is at this point? Well, since I already lost hope I really can't anticipate it anymore, but Tales of the Abyss took 10 MONTHS to localize, so this has a good chance, I think. Thanks.

I do have to say, though, if Tales of VS. doesn't come out in America I give up on the series X(. That game looks TOO fun for its own good.

P.S. It's not a jaded mentality, it's actually pretty good thinking.--Yuri Scifo 17:41, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Buying the game

I've seen so many videos, and it looks better to the original in every way possible. I know that the PSP has no region lock and I don't think you need to know japanese to play the game. I don't know about importing so if there is anyone out there that knows how to get it please respond. User:Nathbud789 2010/01/26
