  • I'm unsure whether or not to merge the "Earthly Beings", "Magical Beings" and "Robots" into "Magical Beings"
  • Also, i'm unsure of the name for "Aquatic Creatures"
  • Furthermore, i'm wondering if i should bother to add pictures...

If you have any suggestions, plz talk about them here. gammer10 23:24, 12 March 2009 (UTC)Gammer10

Pictures don't really belong on a list like this. If each creature has a separate page (oh god please don't start something like that), then yes they would have pictures on such pages. As for specific categories, choose whatever makes sense to you, deferring to whatever category names are officially stated within the game, if any exist. Others can make their own edits to resort things as necessary, if they care enough to do so anyway.
Now I must ask, where is all of this information being copied from? If it's from a guide from GameFAQs or some other resource, please provide a source link at the bottom of the page, to avoid any legal concerns regarding the direct copying of this content (just in case).

I might do a section break down, maybe Sourcing~ Oh right! That completely slipped my mind! I'll do that right now! Thanks for reminding me --gammer10 01:55, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Finally! The Ordeal is over, no more bestiaries for the time being...

The Page is now officially finnished!
Congratulation for finally finishing the page :)

Uhm... yeah, isn't Neflheim's name a bit messed here, or am I somewhat wrong again?
Omio: You mean to say that the godmod Gary Sue is first, and yet the only half-decent character to RP with isn't even on the popularity list? WHAT THE FAIL, NAMCO?! 17:03, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Looking into the organization of this page, it kind of defeats the added purpose of using sortables. I'm considering the possibility of combining everything into one section, and adding a separate column to denote the creatures' type, as it is displayed currently for the section headers. I want to keep the bosses section partitioned off from the rest of the list though.

I will be adding the required kana for each monster name at the same time I make the edits I mentioned, and probably list the dropped items individually with line-breaks instead of commas. Of course, this is guaranteed to make the entire list even longer, and increase page loading time significantly. There is nothing I can do to avoid that, unless we end up reorganizing everything onto separate pages per creature type, which would defeat the purpose of having a single massive sortable list in the first place.

Don't you just love the efficiency of the English language?

Guardians[]

Quick thing:

  • Guardian: Lightning
    式神弐・蒼雷
    Shikigamifuta: Aokaminari

In the 3rd Symphonia OVA, Sheena says Shikigami Ni: Sourai, so would that trump this? Lanate (talk) 01:50, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Yes, changing. It could have been anything. I'm not sure I like the idea of "Shikigami Ichi: Kufuu/Koufuu/Gufuu(lawl)" but meh.

are we going to ever make indivisual articles for monsters with pictures? because that would be great. We should keep this oviosly but make it link to indivisual articles.--Man-at-Legs888 09:51, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

No.

that sucks-.---Man-at-Legs888 09:16, October 14, 2010 (UTC)

Just to clear the Forbidden Anamnesis (PS2)[]

You encounter Hell Knight on floor 5, Gen'ei team on floor 10, Living Armor on floor 15 and finally the Eiyuu team on floor 20.

So yeah Living Armor and Hell Knight are in the PS2 version as well :) --Judgment8 17:59, April 18, 2011 (UTC)

"Grappler... waa?"[]

Not sure how to add things on the bottom, but for the "Grappler... waa?" thing, it's a pun on the English "Flower" (フラワー) and "Grappler" (グラップラー). Fu and Pu use the same base symbol, and if you replace the latter part of "Grappler" with the last part of "Flower," you get "Grapplerer" (グラップラワー).

Those Japanese...

Kryptonite (talk) 20:10, September 3, 2012 (UTC)

Oh. Ha. Always with the puns.
Byakuren Hijiri (talk) 21:20, September 3, 2012 (UTC)

This should be renamed to "Monster List"[]

Because that's what it's called in the English version of Symphonia.

Translation or note for Gen'ei and Eiyuu?[]

Gen'ei = Phantom and Eiyuu = Hero.

I don't think anything would be lost with a translation or at least a note at the bottom.

Kryptonite (talk) 23:39, May 25, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for considering my suggestion, although I believe it should be in noun form, like "Phantom/Illusion Magnius," and "Hero Mithos"...

Kryptonite (talk) 03:22, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

I think...[]

This page was overlooked.

Along with these:

Arosia (talk) 08:42, January 2, 2016 (UTC)

Something is wrong with the tables.

Arosia (talk) 09:24, January 2, 2016 (UTC)

Also, the status ailments link is missing from the DotNW template, and I'm not sure what order it should go in.

Arosia (talk) 09:25, January 2, 2016 (UTC)

Sorry, I messed up something and I'm fixing the css now. Lanate (talk) 09:26, January 2, 2016 (UTC)
