The description of where the shops are positioned in relation to other buildings seems to be a bit... too much. Would it be better just to have a section for these location pages that list the name and building type for every structure as a bulleted list, rather than shove all of them into the geography details? To me, the "geography" should mention details like how Toltus is surrounded on three sides with mountains and dense forestry, with a small stream running through the town, and a mountain pass to the south that leads into the Forest of Spirits. You might also mention that the only entrance into the village is in the south during the present timeline, while the village of the past had another gateway to the north, which is later replaced by the church. You can go even further by mentioning the stone masonry in the buildings and bridge of the present timeline and comparing it to the woodwork of the past, though I bring this up since it's one of the very minor details that I can recall.
And as for the maps, it might be nice to provide a map of the actual town, created from a collage of screenshots from different vantage points on the map, resulting in the most complete representation of the area... unless the full map can be extracted from the game files somehow. I could attempt to do the screenshot collage myself based on an emulated version of the PSX version, but I'm not sure I want to devote my time to this. I'm just pushing the idea out so you can give it some thought, but I'm not trying to force you to do something like this on your own.
Also, do you intend to merge Belladem and Miguel Village info onto this page? The link to "Belladem" is redirecting back to this page.
- That's probably better. I honestly don't really know where I'm doing with this actually; I'm just putting stuff that comes to mind. I was thinking of keeping them separate since they all have different names, but would merging them be better? Also, Belladem's a result of someone else's work, so I was gonna deal with it sometime when I get to it. I'm actually just going to the pages I wrote, running down the red links, and hoping I get everything eventually. Lanate (talk) 03:59, March 2, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not sure why my signature didn't pop up but the time stamp did. Anyway, I don't see anything wrong with merging all three locations, since they are all on the same plot of land in the same game, so they are all spiritually the same city with a shared history. And related to this, I remember that Dhaos's castle is in two different locations based on the time period, and I don't think there needs to be a separate page for each instance either.
