Thanatos is the main antagonist in the game "Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2". He also appeared as one of the bosses that you can encounter in "Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3". He is a very powerful and mysterious sorcerer. He has the power to control people by the use of his dark crystals. He can also create a copy of someone completly with the fake having all the skills of the original person. Like other tales bosses, he possesses a power to be feared of. He uses his hair for attacking and he can use "Dhaos Laser" in Narikiri Dungeon 2 but it is changed by Namco into "Dark Force" so that it will not be the same. After you finish the game in Narikiri Dungeon 3, you can buy his costume in the costume shop to become him.

[edit] Role in Tales of The World: Narikiri Dungeon 2
Thanatos is the final boss in this game. He first introduced himself to Furio and Kyaro before they fight the possessed Cress Albane. After that, he continued his attack by controlling Farah Oersted and one of the Legunia`s town guard, Mendel. He also created a copy of Leon to confuse the heroes but all of his plans failed. He made his first appearance in Shizel`s Castle. There, he is defeated by the heroes but to everyones surprise, what they fought was not the real Thanatos instead only a clone of the real one. The real Thanatos is inside of the legendary "Maze of Dragons". Furio and Kyaro and all the tales heroes followed him there and fought him until he is defeated once and for all.

Thanatos returned in this game. It is revealed that this Thanatos is the same person that appeared in "Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2". Here, he used his mind control magic to control Lloyd Irving and Colette Brunel and make them fight the heroes. After the heroes defeat Lloyd and Colette, he told them that they are not the same Furio and Kyaro that defeated him before in the alternate world(Narikiri Dungeon 2). After you finish the game, you can become him by buying his costume.

While in battle, you can always see him flying on the screen freely. He uses his hair for ordinary attacks and for his "Dragon Tail" skill that moves in the ground fast and can cause a great damage. He also use teleport oftenly while fighting then after that he will combine it with his most devastating attack, Dark Force(Dhaos Laser in Narikiri Dungeon 2) that can hit all of his enemy on the screen and cause a very big damage or worse, kill your whole party.
