Jewels are accessories in the PlayStation 2 and Director's Cut versions of Tales of Destiny. They are made through Re-Rising the various materials acquired throughout the game, can be worn by every character and grant all sorts of effects like immunity to status ailments, raising minimum and maximum CC and removing status ailments upon charging.

Overview[]

Jewels consist of three elements, which determine the jewel's final name:

  • Color, which determines what parameter the jewel increases
  • Type, which determines what effect the jewel has
  • Level, which determines the potency of the increase

The name of the final jewel will be in the form of "Color Type + Level", e.g. a red jewel with the poison type and level of 2 will have the name "Red Poison +2".

Color[]

When Jewels are made and upgraded, they can be upgraded into having eight different color of gems, each of them adding to the Jewels the effect of increasing one parameter of the character who wears them. Jewels are made as +1 accessories and their only possible gem colors at that state are red, blue, green and yellow. The following is a list of the possible colors the gems of any given Jewel can be made into, the parameter they respectively increase and the amount in which they increase the parameter according to the level of upgrade they're in. The only white +1 jewel in the game is present in Leon's initial equipment.
