ToE - Craymel Artes

Craymel Artes (晶霊術 Shoureijutsu?) are the system of spells in Tales of Eternia. By entrapping Craymels (晶霊 Shourei?), elemental spirits within the world, within devices called Craymel Cages, a Craymel Mage (晶霊術士 Shoureijutsushi?) can cast Craymel Artes of the associated element. To cast the powerful spells which Keele Zeibel and Meredy use, they ask the Greater Craymels to enter their Cages.

By splitting the Greater Craymels between the two Cages, Keele and Meredy can then Fringe their Cages in order to create new artes. Most artes have two requirements: the Greater Craymel of the arte's element and a Greater Craymel of another element, each in opposite Cages. When the two Fringe their Cages with the Craymel Artes at appropriate levels, the corresponding Craymel Arte is created. The arte will then belong to the one with the Greater Craymel of the arte's element in their Craymel Cage.
