Toltus Village is the place where Cress Albane begins his journey in Tales of Phantasia. Both he and Chester Burklight were born there. It was a quaint and peaceful village inhabited by laid back citizens and blessed by spirits from a nearby forest.

At the beginning of the game, the village is burned and the villagers (including Cress' parents and Chester's sister Ami) are killed by Mars with the intent of stealing the pendant Cress was given and using it to unseal Dhaos.

In the past, it was known as Belladem. In the future, the village has been renamed Miguel in honor of Cress' father.

An unthinkable thing happened when Cress and Chester were hunting. All the villagers were killed in a gruesome manner. Everybody was dead and some still suffering.
