The Tower of Mana is the location of the Seal of Light in Tales of Symphonia and is the fourth seal in the Journey of Regeneration in Sylvarant. It was originally used as a place to view the Tower of Salvation, but this was stopped when monsters invaded. It is the location of Luna and Aska, the Summon Spirits of Light.

[edit] Seal of Light

During the Journey of Regeneration, the tower was locked, making the group unable to get inside. However, when the key was recovered from Clara, they were allowed access inside. In the Tower of Mana, there is numerous of books, telling all the history of the world, adding legends and books with theories about healing, like the Boltzman’s Book. Raine finds the mentioned book there, and together with the unicorn’s horn, she is able to use the spell Resurrection.

When they look for a way to get further, as the doors are sealed. Raine tells Lloyd and Genis to step on some stones. By doing that, a door opened, forcing the group to split in half; while Lloyd, Colette and another member pass the door, the rest is left behind to hold the door open. After going through a trial with the Sorcerer's Ring, they are able to meet up again and fight the guardian of the seal. After defeating it, Colette breaks the Seal of Light, and she is taught the Angel Skill Sacrifice.

After they leave the tower, Colette falls on her knees. When she opens her mouth to speak with the others, nothing comes out, making Kratos assume that she has lost her voice. At this point, Lloyd decides to tell the group about Colette’s Angel Toxicosis, even though he promised her not to.

The group decides to camp out to let Colette rest, and it is at this point that Sheena reveals she is from a world called Tethe'alla. She explains that Sylvarant and Tethe'alla are parallel worlds right next to each other, and that they are like an hourglass; when one world gets mana, the other one loses. She also says that if Colette breaks the final seal at the Tower of Salvation, then Sylvarant will gain prosperity while Tethe'alla withers because the mana flow will stop in Tethe'ala and return to Sylvarant. Because the King of Tethe'alla did not want this, he got help to find one to assassinate the Chosen, which became Sheena. In response, Colette uses Lloyd’s hand to say that she will ask Remiel if there is a way to help both worlds. Sheena says that if it comes down to it, she may have to kill Colette, as it was her job from the beginning. Colette returns this by saying that then she will fight to, because she loves her world just as much as Sheena loves Tethe’alla. The party leaves the next day to Hima to go to the final seal.

[edit] Pact with Luna and Aska

When the group, together with Presea, Zelos and Regal goes to the Tower of Mana to make a pact with the Summon Spirits of Light, they are stopped by Kratos, who tells them that if they do make the final pact, the results might be fatal. However, Yuan shows up and tells Lloyd and the others to hurry and make the pact while he holds Kratos back.

When they have made the final pact with Luna and Aska, however, the Giant Kharlan Tree shows up and destroys Palmacosta and the other seals they have been in. They manage to get out of the Tower of Mana before it also is destroyed. Upon seeing this, Kratos explains why it happened, and that the only way to stop the giant tree is to shoot it with the Mana Cannon. They agree that Sheena goes with the Renegades to start the Mana Cannon, while the group and Kratos goes to Iselia Human Ranch to stop Forcystus feeding off mana.
