History
Tales of Symphonia
Lloyd Irving and Genis Sage first go to Triet in search of Colette Brunel and her companions. Here they find out Lloyd had become wanted criminal for his actions at the Iselia Human Ranch, and the player also receives an explanation of customization. They go to see a fortune teller to find Colette's location. However, they are forced to pay for her divining services. After paying, the fortune teller says that the Chosen's party is heading for the Triet Ruins, as one of her companions asked for the location. After receiving this information, Lloyd and Genis make their way out of the city, but they are forced to fight a couple of Desians who recognize Lloyd from the crudely-drawn caricature of his face on the wanted poster. After winning the battle, someone from behind attacks Lloyd with an electric shock. More Desians appear, and they take Lloyd and Genis to their base.
After the events at the Sylvarant Base, Lloyd and Genis join the rest of the party, and Lloyd teaches everyone about Exspheres. Raine Sage finds a broken Key Crest and asks Lloyd to fix it, so that she can use it on the exsphere she found in the base. When Lloyd goes to give the newly repaired Key Crest to Raine, he can also see Genis sleeping. Genis says in his sleep how much their friendship means for him. After Lloyd has given the Key Crest to Raine, he notices Kratos Aurion leaving the inn. If Lloyd chooses to follow him, he will see Kratos before Noishe. However, when Lloyd silently approaches them, Kratos unsheathes his sword and almost attacks Lloyd. They then have a conversation where Kratos says that although he does not really like animals, he used to have a pet before. He calls out Lloyd's name, but when Lloyd gets nervous about the stare Kratos gives him, Kratos gives him a lesson about not refining his sword skills. As Kratos goes inside the inn again, Lloyd gets angry, especially after admitting to himself that Kratos is much better than himself in swordsmanship. He then returns to the inn as well.
The next morning, Lloyd realizes that he woke up too late, and he runs outside to meet the party. They are visibly irritated, but they become satisfied when they realize they can finally continue the Journey of Regeneration. Raine gives Lloyd the Monster Book, telling him to think of it as homework, making him groan. They then depart for the Triet Ruins. After Colette has unleashed the Seal of Fire at the Triet Ruins, the group can return to Triet to sleep in the inn. While the party is asleep, Lloyd screams out in the middle of the night, causing everybody to come into his room. Explaining to the party that some stranger had been next to his bed, the others warn him to be on his guard. The intruder is never revealed. Before the final battle, if the party goes to Triet to sleep at the inn once more, Lloyd goes out to see Kratos talking to Noishe again. Lloyd tries to approach them again, but this time Kratos does not attack, merely telling him that he knows he is there. They then talk a little, and Kratos tells Lloyd that Noishe actually may be older than himself, and that he found him hurt during the Kharlan War and took care of him. Since then they have always been together. Lloyd is fascinated with this, and he tells Noishe that when he dies, the dog should go and live with Genis and Raine, as the latters will live longer than himself.
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

Added by Zolo6In the sequel of the game, Triet is a cold town with snow, and the oasis is frozen. This is because of the Centurion Ignis' core. Emil Castagnier, Marta Lualdi and Tenebrae, together with Raine and Genis, go to Triet to fish up a monster they need to get further in the Triet Ruins. When they see the frozen oasis, Genis suggests using his fire artes to heat up the water, but Raine tells him not to, as he might kill the monsters. Tenebrae then transforms into a fishing rod to give Emil the ability to fish up the monster from the oasis. When they find the monster they need, they have to fight it.
After the battle, the monster is still alive, and Raine suggests to Emil that he should make a pact with it instead of completely killing it. Emil does so, and they go back to the ruins. After hatching the Centurion's core of Fire, the climate of Triet will soon return to normal. Later, when Regal Bryant is in the party, it is possible to open a sidequest where a servant of Aqua informs Emil and Tenebrae that she and Richter Abend are at the inn and want to talk to them. As Marta goes to the fortune teller to ask about their relationship, Emil and Tenebrae meet with Richter and Aqua. It is revealed that the two want Emil's help to get an angelatops shell he will switch with for "Spiritual Apocrypha", which is owned by a priestess in Iselia.
