Appearances[]

Tales of Symphonia[]

After the Summon Spirit Corrine dies, Sheena brings Corrine's bell to the altar at the Martel Temple. After reaching the altar, Corrine's bell begins to glow and floats to the altar. Corrine then appears in a new form. This new Corrine says that his new identity is Verius, the Summon Spirit of Heart. He was transformed into a true Summon Spirit when he died due to the fact that the hearts of Sheena's party members centered around him. Sheena is disappointed she is unable to be reunited with Corrine after all, but Verius tells her that without her help and the help of her friends, his transformation would not have been possible.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World[]

Verius returns in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World with Iselia's Martel Temple as his home. The party seeks his help in sealing away the Ratatosk personality in Emil Castagnier, but Verius tells Emil that he can only do so if Emil wishes it with all his heart. Until Emil can resolve the conflict inside of him, Verius can do nothing, though tells him that he will come if called. When Emil confronts his Ratatosk personality over his ruthless treatment of his friends, he comes to a decision, and Verius seals away Ratatosk's personality. However, this all changes when Emil faces Ratatosk's personality inside of himself after stopping Richter Abend. Verius's voice can be heard again, granting the wish Ratatosk's heart is asking. This leads to the separation of Ratatosk into his two forms, Emil and Ratatosk, allowing Emil to return to Marta Lualdi in Palmacosta.

Tales of Xillia 2[]

Though not explicitly named, Verius joins Shadow in testing Ludger Will Kresnik and his group in determining their strength to overcome Origin's Trial. Verius possess Nova while Shadow possess Vera, and the two stealthily direct Ludger's group to the Illusionary Darkness, where they must overcome trials and monsters drawn from the fear in their hearts. At the end, the two are satisfied with what their have seen. Verius says that they have to trust in Ludger now and that Nova believes strongly in him. The pair then disappear, entrusting Origin's Trial to Ludger and Origin and Chronos to Milla Maxwell.
