|Game||Tales of Symphonia|
•Ball and Chain
When the trio arrive at the Martel Temple, believing it to be a Desian attack, they fight some Renegade soldiers. When Vidarr's fellow comrades are defeated, they allow him to fight the trio. Before defeating the group, Kratos interferes, joins the battle, and aids in defeating Vidarr.
In battle, Vidarr wields a large ball and chain, along with a hammer, allowing him to strike at long and close range. Either in the middle of the battle or when the party's HP is running low, the battle will be canceled and restarted, with Kratos joining. Viddar has one tech, Shatter Shot (殴砕撃 Ousaigeki?), which is a particularly damaging attack that breaks his hammer. After using this, he will draw a sword from his back and wield it in the same way as the hammer.
Tales of Symphonia Manga
Vidarr makes a brief appearance in the Tales of Symphonia manga, where he once again appears to defeat Lloyd and his friends, but instead of fighting him twice, Kratos appears and severs his arm before slaying him solo.
- Vidarr's name derives from Norse, meaning "forest warrior".
- In Norse mythology, Vidarr is the god associated with vengeance and son of Odin. During the events of Ragnarok, after Odin is killed by Fenrir, Vidarr will kill Fenrir to avenge his father.
